 My (former) Mitsubishi Galant GTi

Here are some pictures of my late Mitsubishi Galant GTi. Late because I crashed it into a lamp post in April 2000. I bought this car used only 6 months before, and it didn't come with a manual so here are the specs that I could work out about it.

  • Based on the succesful rally car.
  • Same as the VR4 but without the turbo charger.
  • 4 wheel drive with 50:50 front back power distribution.
  • 4 wheel steering.
  • 2 litre 16v straight 4 fuel injected engine producing 144bhp.
  • 5 speed manual gearbox.
  • Huge disc brakes on all 4 wheels.
  • Supposed to have abs as standard, but mine didn't (I don't like it anyway)
  • 195/15 R 60 tyres.
  • Made in 1992, K reg.

The car had the most amazing handling and was glued to the ground (until I hit the lampost of course). With the 4 wheel drive it would hardly ever wheel spin, even in the wet.
